It's the beginning of July, which means the sales season has begun in Belgium! Which means, it's time to get that bank card out and go shopping! It's only the first weekend, so you won't find anything over 50% off, but if you want a good haul, you better be quick about it because the shops are overrun! Now, I love to shop as any other woman, but I'm more of a two or three shops kind of person, find everything there. I really do not like spending most of the day going from shop to shop, shoving my way through a crowd of people and trying to find something I like in the chaos that is the sales. But it has to be done! I really needed some new outfits for summer and so it was time to do some real shopping. So, yesterday I went shopping in Bruges, and my god was it hectic (and I lost my sunglasses somewhere :( ) but I do think I got some good finds!
I wanted to go for a slightly different style, and I think I managed it. Lately I'm very fond of the whole bohemian look.
So here are some pics of my new clothes! Tell me what you think, any good? :) Click to see up close (tried to pose good, but timer isn't easy :D, so nevermind me!) And yes, that is my room!
That's all I got! I got a pair of shoes too, but nothing fancy, just some nice summer sandals that are easy to walk in. I found some gorgeous ones, but they were really expensive and only 30 % off so I decided not to, but darned I wanted them! I splurged a little on that last skirt, only a little though, 50% off yay! I got it at Essentiel, fancy high-fashion Belgian clothing brand, I only dare to go during the sales. Such nice clothes with amazing fabrics, that skirt I got is sooo smooth it's like satin, very fun to wear.
Will be doing some more shopping soon, when the sales have gone up a bit more, so stay tuned :)
UPDATE! bought a cute short white dress today, great for summer days and vacation, I needed one of those! Think I've done enough spending now :p

Friday five
Kate from Kate as of Late regularly makes Friday fives posts and invited people to join her in writing about five random things that pop in your head and would like to share. As I don't really know what subject to write about today, I thought I'd join her Friday Five posts.
So here you go, my Friday Five's:
1. At last the working week is over! Right now I'm fed up with going all the way to Brussels and this week just has been very busy and stressful, so I can't wait for a relaxing weekend! And very much looking forward to going out tonight with the girls for some birthday celebrations. We'll also be talking about our trip to Spain, which is in September. Still a while away, but I'm really looking forward to it, as it's been a whole year since I've been anywhere. And I do love to travel. But yay, tonight party fun time. And possible tomorrow! I'm on a roll here.
2. Everything is now in order to go ahead and book my flight to Australia for December! I have my visa card, and I checked with my boss if I can take the time off, and I can! Checked the flight, and it should costs me just over 1500 euro, which is quite a lot but o well. I'm not a big spender and I like to save up, so spending that much at once will hurt a little! But I'm super excited about it, and I can't wait to see Perth and surroundings and hang out with my Aussie friends. My mom is not too fond of the plan, she says she'll be worried about me the whole time and thinks it's way too far, but my mom is very protective, and I'm sure I'll be perfectly safe. YAY Australia ! I feel superadventurous doing this on my own, and it's going to be so great to spend xmas and new year in the sun on the other side of the world, and get away from everything at home. Hope I don't fall in love with the country too much, or I might not want to go home :D
3. Almost summer sales! Finally I can use the money I got from my parents for my birthday and get some nice things! I'm going to need loads, a lot of my summer clothes could use some updating and I need to get a few bits and pieces for my travels as well. It'll be hot in Spain and even hotter in Australia, so I could use some really light things. And some more work clothes. As it's an embassy, I like to look presentable. But I'm not a very casual wear type of person anyway, you won't see me in a pair of trainers. I'm quite girly, I refused to wear trousers when I was three, and for years after, because trousers were too boyish haha. Unless the trousers had flowers on them, then it was ok :D I got over that though :p Although I still wear a lot more skirts and dresses than trousers.
4. No more new episodes of all my series ! :( I'm very fond of tv, as it's my way of relaxing after a looong day at work, and now that summer is here, all the series I was watching have ended until autumn, so I'm stuck to watching random things on the discovery channel and animal planet. But True Blood is starting their new season in a few day, sos hooray, at least one thing, and I do love True Blood (not just because of the sexy vampires I swear ;), it's a very exciting series, although there's quite a bit of nudity and blood and gore. But I'm no prude, and I love the books as well.
5. I've run out of things to say umm. Seriously getting bored here, not much to do this afternoon. Been amusing myself by answering questions on Yahoo answers. Some of the questions are quite hilarious I must say, it really shows you how weird/dumb/uneducated/pervy people are.
Here are some examples:
The Gandalf one I found particularly funny :p
Have a great weekend everyone!

is now following me on twitter...
I'm back! Sorry for the lack of posting in the weekend, I was feeling lazy and I had a nasty cough, so I spent the weekend relaxing and mostly lying in front of the fireplace watching tv and reading. I also went shopping! It was the last weekend of the sales, which means 70% off, so I dragged my lazy ass to the shopping street and went to the fancy, really expensive stores where I can only buy stuff during the super sales. I got a good haul I must say, and all for a really great price. I got two lovely silk skirts, two v-neck jumpers, three long sleeved shirts and two pairs of shoes! YAY! It's so much fun when you get to buy things that are originally unafforable, which you can then buy for a steal during sales. Now I can show off my fancy fashionable outfits, hooray! So my weekend was slightly productive in the end after all!

On Saturday I also suddenly got several more followers on twitter. Initially I was YAY, I'm interesting, but when I noticed the names I was slightly confused and shocked! My first new follower was ladieshomeparty. Didn't know it was unusual until i clicked it, appearantly it's a party organiser for erotic parties hosted by women. You know, where a bunch of women giggle at a bunch of erotic toys and go home to try them out and then discuss them later. My initial reaction was just owkeeeeey.. I'm not a prude, and I suppose they send out invites to loads of random people. Two minutes later: sexcamgirl is now following you on Twitter. WHAT THE HELL! why is sexcamgirl following me, and right after the other rather sexually tinted follower, this is getting suspicious! I am not a dude, nor do I enjoy watching nude girls twist and groan on webcam. Really! Another two minutes later, Xsms is following me.. further investigation informed me that xsms is an erotic sms company, where you can text a bunch of raunchy GIRLS. Now this was starting to get pretty mad, does my twitter account scream I'm a really slutty lesbian woman? Is it the red hair? Perhaps fiery redhead has taken on many more meanings! And that wasn't even the end of it, I got three more followers, erovibes (an erotic store)and sexshop online, and to finish it off Bet on football followed me as well. So according to twitter I am a raunchy, lesbian, football-loving, gambling woman. Lovely..
I now have 11 followers, half of which the above.. great! I'm going to make a great impression on the friends I got on twitter :p
BTW, is there any way to make them stop following me? I couldn't find a way to do it anywhere and I have a feeling that a bunch of freaky followers will only attract more! There's a limit to my open-mindedness.
