Dhada Movie Review by Mudra

DHADA is one of the WORST EVER movies on Telugu Screen. The movie has right capacity to compete with many others to stand in TOP WORST of TOLLYWOOD, especially from the combination of a reputed Production House and reputed Hero. For sure this is KAMAKSHI’s WORST till date, WORST of Chaitu’s till date and stands in TOP 10 WORST of AKKINENI MOVIES.

This is a Poor Execution of a line similar to KHILADIYON KA KHILADI with mix of inspired scenes from various Foreign Films.

If a similar story line, with backdrop as Hyderabad and connections of mafia to other country (Malaysia) and having Hero’s family member missing pre-interval due to Villian’s act, then Hero chasing and finding the villain, with couple of interesting twists and turns on the lines of Akshay Kumar’s KHILADIYON KA KHILADI and LAKSHYAM (few to name) would fall within the nativity scope catering to at
least one section of the audience. As in this pattern, Hero would be close to the audience from their place and mainly he would have a mission of his own apart from running around lady-love. Mind it: Villian’s business needs a change. 

Except for Chaithanya’s conviction and commendable improvement in dance and stunts departments and good Camera work, it has nothing to offer, forget about new or old, it has seriously nothing to offer. Worst Heroine role, spineless villains, brainless baddies, senseless comedy, soulless love scenes, feel less emotions, badly etched characters, pale narration, silly dialogues, shabby screenplay with disgusting comedy tracks, lazy onscreen moments, uninteresting sound, make DHADA a strict avoid on Big Screen.

Good Audio got wasted on screen without proper lead scenes and execution.

DHADA’s uniqueness: This is a genre less movie which wouldn’t fit in to any kind from Thriller, Entertainer, Action Packed, Comedy, Love/Romance, Sentiment, Mass Masala … you name it!!!

SINGHAM Movie Review by Mudra

Bollywood of 1990 has seen a new angry young man next to Sunny Deol who has not glued to one single image later, with his impressive and award-winning performances trying various other hard to impress genres like Romance – Comedy too. This Actor is still energetic even after a journey of 20 odd years and stuck with gold in recent times, tasting back to back success doing couple of good films and is now here in his best avatar of Angry Man as “SINGHAM”. The “Golmaal” kamaal Director Rohit Shetty though has taken the South Super Hit SINGHAM (Tamil) / YAMUDU (Telugu), made couple of necessary changes to suit the nativity of Maharashtra and the taste of Target Audience. First things first, the story is an old wine, but as per t the saying, old wine tastes good when served better, this kind of Good vs Evil on-screen, Good in the form of Hero with a Uniform and Evil in the form of Villain with Power, is a tested formula for winning the hearts of common audience, converting them in to fans and creating box-office records too.

Ajay fits the bill to the “T” as Baaji Rao Singham, showing variation in performance as per the script’s demand, his innocence makes us laugh; his anger makes bad get afraid and his furious fights makes one get thrilled. Good to see him doing amazing action sequences conceived in raw form, these are a treat for his fans and mass action movie lovers. He is good in scenes where he has to express his heart’s feelings to beloved and is simply exceptional when confronting the baddies. His performance is “roaring” all one can say, in the post-interval scenes till the climax. Next show stealer of this movie is Prakash Raj, he injects new style to bollywood villainism. He is an award-winning actor from South, but gels so smoothly with fluent Marathi mixed Hindi and am sure he gains a new fan base from north India with this performance. Kajal, again from south, is not adequate. Firstly there is not much scope for a Heroine to do in this Action Thriller, but even she looks uncomfortable and makes one so, watching her beside Macho Lion, Ajay Devgan. Rest of the cast did well.

Technically the film, as aimed for mass action movie lovers, is first-rate in action sequences and with an adequate back ground score helps connectivity of the on-screen on goings, go right with the target audience.

If one asks does it gel well with all kind of audience, then you may have to choose if you want good song dance sequences too in between a thrilling action drama, as this movie lacks of such stuff to offer. “Saathiya…” a romantic melody is one which can stay with you. “Maula Maula” comes as a jerk in the second half when the Lion takes you for a racy thrilling journey. Good that they had cut this song short!

Comparisons are inevitable, so if one does this with DABANNG, in short this scores high on Action with Emotion where as the earlier scores with a Love Track and Super Hit Audio.

I would say this is not just a SINGHAM, but SINGHAMS with roaring Ajay and equally sounding Prakash Raj. An Ok to good first half and a racy entertaining second half makes this movie a Worth Watch on the whole, for the first timers, meaning, who haven’t watched either SINGHAM (Tamil) / YAMUDU (Telugu).

Recommended for typical Indian Mass Action Thriller Movie Lovers and Fans of Ajay.

Monna Aadukalam, Ninna Mappillai, Ipppudu VENGHAI (leopard ani ardam). Appudu Swami (lakshmi narasimha) e madya Singam (yamudu), Ippdu Venghai ga mana munduki teesukochadu Director hari. Dhanush first film after receiving national award kabatti expectations bagane unnai, Mari Cinema ela undi?

Performances:

Dhanush: He did his best. bagane chesadu, Expressions bagane palikinchadu but he would have concentrated on his appearance too. Costumes assalu baledu moreover before selecting a subject one has to seriously think adi thanaki suit avutunda ani. Mind games ki mind unte saripothundi, kani action sequences ki kanda leka pothe ela? Adi manaki elanu radhu ani telisinappudu vati joliki poi joker avvadam endhku ani.

Thamanna: Nothing for her to perform. just for songs and some one or two imp scenes.Disappointed the nela ticket ppl with her homely character. A mass film like this needs some masala kani adi missing.

Prakash Raj: as usual ga he rocked 

Rajkiran: Pandem kodi lo nanna fame. Same ade movie lo unna background role. Powerful role. His performance was awesome. First half lo manchi pattu unna role, second half lo full underplay aipovatam valana konchem punch miss aindi (of course subject demands that).

Story, Screenplay, Dialogs and Direction: Story gurunchi cheppedi em ledhu, Chinna conflict ni line ga teesukoni dani chuttu motham screenplay allesukunnadu. Dialogs are good and simple. Correct situations lo keka dialogs paddai, kani ilantivi 90's padithe bavundedi. General ga HARI movies anni oka standard format lo velthai, anni areas ni touch chesthu, comedy action heroism tho patu family sentiment ki kuda imp isthadu. E movie lo kuda same ade trend follow ayyadu, Movie motham meeda oka 4 episodes aithe very very well written, but on screen presentation 100% satisfy cheyyadu. The movie graph itself is like ups and downs annatu untundi. Interval ki mundu oka 20mins, movie graph oka range lo velthundi, [similar lines of pandemkodi anukondi], but interval ichina vidhanam will leave you unstasfied. Interval ayyaka within 15mins main conflict ni plan chesadu, hero velli villian ki warning istadu. "30 days lo nuvvu ma nanna ni champithe ma family motham vachi nee kallapai padatham, ade 30 days lo nenu ninnu champaka pothe ma nanna vachi ne kallapai padathadu ani" edo confusing ga unna content ide. inka akkada nunchi ekkadiko velthundi anukune time ki again the graph comes down. Hero ane vodu em cheyyakunda, villian plan chesinappudu matram mind games vadi tippi koduthu (manchi response vachindi theater lo ) mass ni alarinchademo kani, na sahanam ni pareekshinchadu. Second half lo beebatsamaina twist untundi. ani twist reveal chesina vidhanam antha impressive ga undadu. I feel HARI dint put his 100% efforts in this flick. half hearted ga manchi satha unna subject ni chuttesi janalapai vadilesadu. 

Final Verdict: It has comedy, it has heroism, it has action. Overall ga Good first half and slow second half with some 3 - 4 interesting episodes. Sometimes the happenings in second half may test your patience. On a whole must watch for fans and others may watch it to kill some time. Its a logic less commercial entertainer.

Cinematography: pettina prathi rupai ki rendu rupailu santhosham ni iche department ide, bala sir hats off sir. Simply superb, lighting kani, colors use chesina vidhanam kani, kevvulu. Mee efforts content moolam ga waste avvatam nijam ga badhakaram.Prathi frame oka drusya kavyam.

Editing: asalu cinema modalu aina daggra nunchi, eppudu avutundi ra saami, inkeppudu mudnuku kadulutundi ra sami anipinche antha Besh ga undi e deparment work. Motham movie ni kachitham ga oka 30mins aina trim chesi undalsindi.

Story, Screenplay and Direction: First movie ne experimental genre enchukuni, producer ni convincing chesi ilanti output ivvatam mamulu vishayam kadu. Simple subject, tamil vallaki kotha backdrop, Kondaru vyakthula madya oka roju jarigina anukoni sangatanala samaharame ee katha. First 20mins lo ne main subject ki enter aipoi, climax varaku janalni engage chesthu teesaru, daniki thodu climax konchem expectingly unexpected twist tho kummesadu. Kaka pothe narration baga slow ga undatam oka disadvantage ani cheppukovachu.
